Jeannine Gaskin
Jeannine Gaskin is the Co-Founder of The Assembly Room, a Cleveland-based cultural consulting and creative production company that designs and executes culturally grounded programs, performances, and experiences that drive authentic connection and meaningful community impact. She partners with organizations, institutions, and communities to move beyond surface-level engagement and create work that resonates deeply with the people they serve. With more than 25 years of experience across analytics, leadership, and the performing arts, Jeannine brings a rare ability to merge strategy with creativity ensuring that every project is not only inspiring, but structured, scalable, and results-driven. Her work spans large-scale cultural events like Salsa Across Borders, which welcomed over 1,000 attendees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, to intimate, story-driven performances rooted in Black history and lived experience. A nationally working actor, director, writer, and Chautauqua performer with Women in History Ohio, Jeannine brings history to life through performances of figures such as Ida B. Wells, Jane Edna Hunter, and Mary McLeod Bethune. She transforms research into compelling, audience-centered storytelling. Jeannine has directed and collaborated with leading organizations including Cleveland Public Theatre, LatinUs Theatre Company, Convergence-Continuum, Ensemble Theatre, Cain Park, and Seat of the Pants Theatre, where she is a proud ensemble member. She is known for her ability to lead teams, shape vision, and deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes that align with both artistic and organizational goals. In addition to her artistic work, Jeannine’s background in analytics and operational leadership, including Six Sigma Lean Green Belt training, ensures that her programs are not only creatively impactful, but also well-designed, efficiently executed, and built for sustainability. Jeannine is a passionate advocate for social justice and women’s rights, and her work consistently amplifies underrepresented voices while fostering meaningful dialogue. Her guiding belief is simple: when culture is intentionally designed and executed, it becomes a powerful tool for connection, learning, and transformation. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, she continues to partner with organizations ready strengthen their cultural impact, deepen audience engagement, and bring meaningful stories to life.
